Hi All, I guess this is the place for introductions. First off, I am 73 yrs old and the original owner of a 1975 RL250. Several years back I did a re-conditioning of it. I removed the engine and painted the frame and swing arm. New paint on the airbox anfd fenders, but did not open the engine though. For most of the years I used it as atrail bike instead of trials bike. I bought it because the bikes of that era were starting to move to longer suspension travel, and at 5'4" they were all gettingbtoo tall to ride comfortably. That's also when the Japanese bikes started to be seen in the U.S. and their seat heights were decent. I bought the RL and my cousin who was my riding buddy bought a Honda TL250. After a year or so we fit knobby tires and raised the front fenders and rode them like that for 25 years or so. I just opened the engine on theRL this year and did a top end on it. Fired it up for a few quick minutes just this afternoon. If I can figure how to post a picture I'll put one up of it just after I reconditioned it several years back.
HI to you all, I have a 1977 250 in Heron colours which is a nicer looking bike than the 2 previous ones I trialled in the very early 90's.
I bought it with the intention of using it properly but having tried a practise session I think my aging body didn't like the exercise!
i did change the front shoes with a set from the previous club owner (Steve) who told me they would soon improve the braking and indeed they have.
I have been very impressed with any contact with the club previously or in the present.
The problem I now have is no spark, on checking the wiring under the very tidily taped loom there were multiple twisted joints.
I have soldered them but still no go , the plug and cap have been replaced and the coil resistances checked and with no reading shown this may be the fault.
However with the wiring in such a mess I would possibly consider a new CDI system
But, I would like to know what multimeter readings I should expect from the 3 wires from the flywheel.

Hoping I can get some wise advice from the forum.
Best wishes to all.

My 1980 Beamish 325
Hi, New website looks great!
I own a Mk3 1980 325cc Beamish.
Nice to see what parts are still available for these bikes. I think my next purchase will have to be some large footrests when theyre available👍🏼
