I am 73 yrs. old and the original and only owner of my 1975 Suzuki RL250. Used mostly for trail riding over the years. A few years back I reconditioned it but never opened the engine until just this past summer. (2024). I along with my cousin who was my riding buddy back then bought trials bikes, me the RL250, and he a Honda TL250 due to the increased height of the "enduro" bikes. At my 5' 4" height, seat height was important. The bikes I previously owned a 1965 Yamaha Ramjet 80, then a 1965 Husqvarna 250 and then a 360. Busted myself up a bit on the 360 so went back down to a 1971 Honda SL125, and then a 1973 Honda XL175. At this point the Bikes started haveing increased suspension travel at which point they got too tall. So that is where we went to the trials bikes..

I acquired his Honda Several years ago and did a pretty intense reconditioning on it though not a restore. The last 2 years I spent restoring a 1977 Yamaha TY250 for my son. It's getting the gas tank painted now. So this summer was the RL's turn to get a new top end. I still ride just not as fast or as much as when I was younger. I have several grandkids who like to ride so I do have 'riding buddies'.

Besides bikes, I have a small woodshop and machine shop for my own projects, and have a small farm where we raise beef for ourselves and our kids families and have chickens also for our own use. I am retired and worked for GE in Erie pa. for 36 1/2 years.

I am new to this forum and am still working my way around here.
